In theory, it should increase the performance of many games for many users; however, it might not work as decently as it should, and for peace of mind, you can try disabling this feature. There are two ways to disable this feature.

In the first method, we can disable the Full-Screen Optimization for the game executable file from its properties. In the second method, we can disable the full-screen optimization with the help of the registry editor. We will be discussing both methods, rest assured.

#8 – Lower The Graphical Settings

Playing the game with high graphic settings than the GPU and CPU can handle can often result in crashes, frequent one to be precise. Playing the game on high-settings is surely fun and eye pleasing, but the crashes will take away all the fun in no time.

Before getting into graphic settings tweaks, make sure your system has the specifications to run the game on at least minimum settings. Below are the minimum and recommended system requirements for the game according to EA.

Minimum System Specifications for Apex

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-6300 3.8GHz / AMD FX-4350 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor
  • RAM: 6GB
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 / Radeon HD 7730
  • GPU RAM: 1 GB
  • HARD DRIVE: Minimum 22 GB of free space

Recommended System Requirements for Apex

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 7
  • CPU: Intel i5 3570K or equivalent
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 / AMD Radeon R9 290
  • GPU RAM: 8GB
  • HARD DRIVE: Minimum 22 GB of free space

We recommend lowering the graphic settings to medium to low, as for competitive titles, FPS > visuals. If you have a decent system, you can try to lower the “Texture Streaming Budget” option to “Medium (3GB VRAM)” or “Low (2GB VRAM)” for a smooth experience on a low memory GPU with 3 to 4 GB of VRAM.

Exceeding the budget will put a decent amount of pressure on your GPU, and if the GPU can’t keep up, it will crash. “Texture Filtering” is another option that you can set to “Anisotropic 2X” or disable it totally for maximum performance.

You can set the rest of the details to low, and it will provide a huge performance boost. Not only that, but it will also reduce the burden on GPU and can lower the crashes. For not turning the game into “Potato Graphics”, you can set the model detail to medium or high.

#9 – Reinstall Origin Or The Game
