Unleash Hell on PlayStation Plus Premium with the addition of Doom 64

The gates of hell have opened on PlayStation Plus Premium with Doom 64’s arrival. Doom 64 is now available to play via PlayStation Plus Premium. Developed by Midway Games and published by id Software in 1997.

Since the release of Doom Eternal in 2020, the fourth installment in the franchise for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, we all saw a major fan rise in the older Doom games as well.

The story of the game is a sequel to the Doom games, and it takes place after the Doom II. The game was first released for Nintendo 64 only, and later the digital versions and physical versions got released for the PS5 and Xbox One as well, following the Nintendo Switch.

Doom 64 focuses on the events following the Doom/Doom II storyline. Mother demon has survived and returned back the dead creatures you killed once. So, it’s up to you again to stop everything with your powers and stop the legions once again.

I am just recapping for you so you can get an idea of what you are going to explore later on.

In, Doom 64, you must advance through very versatile and deadly 28-story levels (and 4 secret levels) by battling the deadly demons, while collecting different weapons and keys throughout the game, and by activating switches to reach the level’s exit while surviving deadly ambushes and traps.

It further tells the story of our fan-favorite Doomguy fighting his way back to Hell in an attempt to finally put an end to Hell’s invasion of his universe.

The game is known to be one of the most difficult entries in the whole Doom series so far and has a strong reputation for giving you strong goosebumps while exploring the different levels. Level design is also pretty much solid, while the soundscape part of the game also enhances the overall game environment.
