PlayStation 5 is the ninth gen of consoles packed with powerful hardware and capable of running games at 4K resolution and with Ray tracing without breaking a sweat. The console shipped over 7.8 million units, and now fans are looking for titles to play on their new console.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the development process of loads of games has been slowed down. It is hard to lose track of upcoming games. Fortunately, I have compiled this massive list of exciting PlayStation 5 titles launching in 2023, and beyond that, you can play.
The list has a diverse range of new games along with some console exclusives. The list also includes several titles released on the previous generation of consoles releasing for PlayStation 5.
From sequels, survival games, platformers, and indie games, I am sure you will find many exciting titles to buy for your new console.
Some games have a release date, but they might get delayed due to the pandemic (I hope they don’t). Most of the game’s release date is not confirmed. With that said, let us get to our list of upcoming games for PlayStation 5.
Best Upcoming PS5 Games: All The New PS5 Games For 2023 And Beyond
The console is available for a few months now, but its availability is hard to come by. PlayStation 5 has already depicted its capabilities with few launch titles like Demon Souls remake, Control, Ghost of Tsushima.
However, the upcoming games for the ninth gen console are worth getting.
Being able to play the AAA games with over 60 FPS was always a dream of console owners, and these new-gen consoles can achieve that without breaking a sweat. There is no reason not to get excited about the upcoming PlayStation 5 games.
Just simply by looking at the list of PlayStation 5’s upcoming games gets me nothing but excited. Unfortunately, some games are slated for this year’s release, while some games will be released next year. If you somehow managed to grab a PS5, you are in for a treat!
Without any ado, let us get to the titles.
#1 Elden Ring
Elden Ring is one of the most anticipated video game on the list, if not the most. One of the few reasons that I put this game on the top of the list is because it is the next title by From Software, who is hailed as one of the acclaimed developers.
Elden Ring was revealed as the next From Software game in the E3 2019 announcement trailer, and for straight two years, no information was revealed related to the game until the Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley.
The player takes control of a customizable character referred to as “Tarnished“. Judging from the trailer, the player can fully customize their characters and can ride mounts (which is a first in From Soft games).
The game features tons of enemies and will be lore enriched as the story is co-written by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin. Elden Ring will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and Windows on January 21, 2022.

The game will be sci-fi like its predecessors. Bioware has shared nothing but a teaser trailer for their upcoming Mass Effect game. Gamers around the internet speculate that the new title could be the sequel to Mass Effect Andromeda.
Though Andromeda did not enjoy the same success as the original trilogy, it would still make a decent sequel.
#3 The Elder Scrolls 6
The Elder Scrolls 6 is an upcoming action-adventure role-playing video game, developed and published by Bethesda. It is the next installment in the critically acclaimed The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The setting and release date for the game is yet to be announced.
A teaser trailer for the game was revealed in 2018, and not a single piece of information was revealed to the public by Bethesda or Todd Howard. Despite having little to no information, it is one of the most anticipated upcoming games for PlayStation 5 and other platforms.
Some people speculate, from the teaser trailer, that the game location is set in High Rock, a location inhabited by the Bretons. Some people say the location for TES 6 will be Tamriel.
There is an Elder Scroll game set in High Rock, making Tamriel viable speculation. The official location will be expected to be revealed soon after Starfield’s release.

My Final Verdict:
PlayStation 5 is one of the power consoles released a couple of months old. The console hardware is powerful enough to even outshine medium-budget computers while being highly affordable. Though getting the console is a big pain due to scalpers and global chip shortage.
If you somehow managed to get your hands on the console, there is another issue, there are not enough games that can take advantage of the PS5 hardware except for a few launch titles. Other games are already on previous-gen consoles. So, what should the console owners do?
Fortunately, there is a large number of titles that are planned for release for the console. Some are going to release in a couple of weeks, some are in a couple of months, and several exciting new titles are going to release in 2023 for PlayStation 5.
With the help of this list, you will be able to find several ambitious games to play on your PlayStation 5 console.
